How to Setup SMTP and POP Mail Server in Gmail Account

One of the advantages of Gmail email account is the existence of special facilities of POP Mail Server that has been provided by Gmail, so that the email owners can download all of their incoming emails easily by using any mail client. In this article, I will share my experiences to you, how to set the data regarding SMTP and POP Mail Server in Gmail email account. This time I am using Mozilla Thunderbird mail client, and has been running well.

Server Settings:
- Server Type: POP Mail Server
- Server Name: pop.gmail.com
- User Name: (youremailaccount), for example: Mine is jojon@gmail.com, then I fill in with: jojon@gmail.com (customize with your own email account).
- Port: 995
- Connection Security: SSL/TLS
- Authentication method: Normal password

Outgoing Server (SMTP):
- Description: Gmail
- Server Name: smtp.gmail.com
- Port: 587
- Connection Security: STARTTLS
- Authentication method: Normal password
- User Name: (youremailaccount), for example: Mine is jojon@gmail.com, then I fill in with: jojon@gmail.com (customize with your own email account).
